ER & LPR
Electrical Resistance (ER) probes are the mainstay of most intrusive corrosion monitoring applications, providing on-line data about corrosion rates that may be used to check the efficacy of corrosion inhibition or detect changes in underlying process corrosivity.
Linear Polarisation Resistance (LPR) is a fast responding intrusive method for measuring changes in the corrosivity of aqueous solutions. In expert hands LPR is an extremely effective electrochemical tool but care must be taken to select appropriate applications as the presence of oil may prevent effective operation.
The comprehensive Cormon products range for these techniques includes compact, intrinsically safe transmitters and data loggers and a wide range of probes for high, medium and low pressure use.
