Subsea pipeline proactive flow assurance management tools
Cormon have developed an integrated subsea pipeline flow assurance management tool. This incorporates a range of proprietary tools, technology and techniques uniquely available to our Flow Assurance & Optimisation Group.
The subsea monitoring tool integrates internal process monitoring options such as corrosion, erosion, deposition/scale, pressure, temperature, heat transfer, wall shear stress and mass flow. Data is formatted as a circumferential profile and output to directly to client subsea systems or to our topsides flow assurance management control system.
The data-sets can provide inputs to our expert system tool that derives cognitive indicators* of a 'condition certainty index' related to corrosion mechanisms, scales, wax, hydrates and asphaltene deposits.
Application
These tools are applied to the proactive flow assurance management and
optimisation of subsea pipelines.
The flow assurance tools can be used for the analysis and control of the
real-time conditions at the internal pipe wall interface related primarily
to corrosion and deposition.
